Rupture — Australian hardcore punk/grindcore band, formed in 1982 in Perth. They remained active in the scene until the death of Gus Chamber (vocals) in 2001. Rupture gave an unparalleled adrenaline rush with the vicious onslaught of hardcore fused with garage and grind (powerviolence) influences. Over the years, the band's lyrical focus shifted from left and anarchist views to anti-PC rhetoric and a liberal dose of provocative humor. During this time, they released split EPs with many bands, including Brutal Truth, Dropdead, Spazz, Extortion and Antiseen, as well as individual releases.
