I, Robot — was a five-piece, late 90s emotive hardcore (or also known as screamo in recent years) band from New Paltz, New York. They have an East Coast bent and flair that makes these songs their own, specifically in terms of the lyrics, which are excellent. They existed from 1997 to 1999, releasing only a demo cassette and a four-song 7" during their active period. A posthumous split 7" with Cable Car Theory was released in 2001, followed by a complete discography, "Et Cetera" in 2002. Members also played in bands such as Organized Sports, The Exelar, A Black China, and Upstairs Room.
