Crimson Spectre and Uwharria were a group of good friends who all played music together in Greensboro, NC, in the early 2000s. At the time of this recording, Brian Tipa played drums in both bands. The two bands traveled to Athens, GA, together one weekend during a short run of shows and ended up making enough money to fund the trip by using their van as an illegal taxi for a few hours on the night of a UGA football game. Most of the passengers didn't mind that there was a drum kit in the back seat and punk rock playing on the stereo.

Crimson Spectre haunted Greensboro, NC, from 2000 to 2007. Crimson Spectre never stopped believing in the power of rebel music or revolutionary dreams. The undead proletarian masses destroy their former masters in a blood-spattered zombie uprising.

Uwharria were North Carolina's eco-thrash metal-punk crossover warriors with songs about environmental issues and animal rights. Members also played in Naked Angels, Blownapart Bastards, Divide & Conquer, RentAmerica, FaceDownInShit, Oi Polloi, and the Heebie Geebies. Uwharria thrashed for the Earth from 1999 -2 005.
