Keladak / Think! Tadpole! Think!
Death By Karate — EP, Cassette Tape

Coming from the underground. A debut EP tape from both Keladak and Think!Tadpole!Think! under Noisemongers Records in 2013. Keladak is a twisted heavy metal/rockers influenced by punk and metal ethos taken from Black Sabbath, Melvins and Hawkwind. Think! Tadpole! Think! on the other hand, plays avant-garde jazz with nasty, humorous words - think of Tom Waits meets Don Van Vliet jamming with Jaga Jazzist. Both acts are coming from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Total length of 29 minutes.

The Death By Karate split EP by Keladak and Think! Tadpole! Think! (T!T!T!) is a compelling showcase of Malaysia's underground experimental music scene, blending heavy rock with avant-garde improvisation. Death By Karate stands as a testament to the vibrant and diverse Malaysian underground music scene. The EP offers a juxtaposition of Keladak's structured heaviness with T!T!T!'s free-form experimentation, making it a must-listen for fans of avant-garde and experimental music.

Keladak
Formed in 2007 in Bandar Baru Bangi, Keladak began with aspirations of art rock, drawing inspiration from bands like CAN and Captain Beefheart. Over time, their sound evolved into a fusion of heavy, psychedelic, progressive, and noise rock, influenced by acts such as Black Sabbath, Melvins, and Black Flag. Their lineup during this EP includes Aizat (guitar), Hafeez (vocals), Onn (drums), Jay (bass, synth), and Addy (horns, trumpet). On this EP, Keladak delivers dense, sludgy riffs and experimental textures, showcasing their commitment to pushing the boundaries of heavy music.

Think!Tadpole!Think! (T!T!T!)
Think!Tadpole!Think! is a fusion of avant-garde and jazz musical collective known for their unpredictable and experimental performances. Led by Kuning Pening, the group features a revolving lineup, including core members Amir and Fadhil (Kokojie). Their music defies easy categorization, often described as "porn music from the mid-80s" or simply "mistakes," reflecting their embrace of free improvisation and rejection of conventional structures. In this split, T!T!T! contributes tracks that are likely to be spontaneous and boundary-pushing, incorporating elements of noise, jazz, and performance art.
